The City – Amber Perrier

A small group of healthworkers staged a socially distanced rally at the Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel to protest at the lack of personal protective clothing and virus tests for staff. Since 1993 the Rosetta Arts Centre in West Ham has been offering local people of all ages and stages of a person’s creative learning and development, the chance to experience the transformative benefits of the arts. Forced to close their doors due to lockdown, NuSound Radio 92FM met up with Zoe Hardie to find out about how they were moving courses online.

NHS Rainbow

Every Thursday at 8pm, people across East London have been showing their appreciation of the NHS by clapping. Jane Roberts reads “These are the Hands”, by Michael Rosen. The Theatre Royal in Stratford have invited key workers to send in short videos of themselves as part of the No Masks project.

Despite being closed due to the Coronavirus pandemic, Stratford Circus Arts Centre has organised online Arts based activities. NuSound Radio spoke to Lucy Atkinson (Interim Chief Executive) to find out more and also other challenges facing the organisation.
